Shrinathji at the Centre
The focal point of this Pichwai is Shrinathji, depicted in a decorated shrine with an elaborate crown, jewellery and traditional adornments. The architectural setting, ornamental arches and surrounding figures draw attention towards the central deity, creating a balanced and devotional composition.
Sacred Cows and Devotional Gathering
Rows of cows occupy much of the lower composition, accompanied by attendants and devotees carrying out devotional activities. The detailed treatment of the cattle, figures and traditional clothing gives the painting a strong sense of movement and visual storytelling.
Multiple Devotional Scenes
A distinctive feature of this artwork is the sequence of smaller devotional panels running along the upper and side borders. These miniature scenes add depth to the composition and make the painting especially interesting to explore up close.
Decorative Garden and Lotus Pond
The background features dense green foliage and a patterned sky, framing the central shrine. Along the lower edge, a row of pink lotus flowers and leaves creates a decorative pond-like setting. The colourful floral border completes the composition.
